Rumor: Cardinals to trade Juan Encarnacion
Juan Encarnacion is reportedly upset with the amount of playing time he received in the playoffs. He did not attend the Cardinals' World Series rally and is likely to be traded this off season. With the status of center fielder Jim Edmonds also in question, the outfield of the World Champions has become the second area of uncertainty as 4 of the 5 regular season starters are free agents.
With the likes of Carlos Lee and Alfonso Soriano on the free agent market, and Gary Sheffield being dangled, the Cardinals may not find a lot of interest for Encarnacion until the other options are off the table.

I am a Cardinal fan and Encarnacion should be traded. He was a non-factor in the playoffs. His body language suggested that he want to be there. I hope we get a ballplayer who cherished the moment like Weaver,Ekstein,Rolen,Wainwright, and Reyes.

I've supported Juan all year, but he didn't even attend the parade! If he wanted more at-bats, he should have gotten more than 6 hits in 50+ tries. Period. Toss him, re-sign Preston or pick up another outfielder for cheap.

Good-bye Juan. The Cards
should think about Tampa Bay's Carl Crawford, he's available, could develope into a great lead-off man. The Ray's could use Chris Duncan at first, Travis Hollins and a pitching prospect.
