In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians called it 'Christmas' and went to church; the Jews called it 'Hanukkah' and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank. People passing each other on the street would say 'Merry Christmas!' or 'Happy Hanukkah!' or (to the atheists) 'Look out for the wall!' Do you think so? http://www.nicetick.com

The ballgame should be decided by the players in the field, and not by umpires. The purpose of the umpire is to make the game correct, and if they make a mistake, and it effects the game, then its not a fair or good game. The reason its not used is because of tradition. When baseball was played in the past the most accurate decider was a man, that is no longer the case, and with current technology, they should have a replay umpire that would have the same view as the networks, and make the correct call and leave the game in the hands of the players on the field. If like football, the play is not definite, then the umpire call is upheld. They should do it like tennis, and have challenges, which if correct, are not lost. The time factor is as fast as the network review, very fast. It could be 1 challenge per inning. per team. What is the downside?

okay, i know this was a couple years ago, but this eats me alive every time i come across an idiot not knowing what the hell they are talking about. you don't know the whole story. im joshs cousin. his BLOOD. his family. we ALL know josh made a terrible mistake and was solely responsible for his death. the lawsuit was a scare. uncle dean didn't want his ex wife(who WOULD have tried to get money off of joshs death) to not be ABLE to. he started it, then dropped it. that way she couldn't pick it up. josh made a terrible decision that night that hurt us terribly and we are at a loss every single day now because of it. regardless, josh was not what everyone made him out to be. he was a fun-loving, christian, loyal son friend brother and teammate. please try to have a little respect and don't believe everything you read or hear.
